United World Wrestling President Nenad Lalović and UWW Asia President Mohammad Al-Awamleh visited Kyrgyzstan as part of an official visit focused on the further development of wrestling in the region.

One of the key events of the visit was the signing of an agreement granting Izabekov Wrestling Academy official international UWW status.

The new status will enable the Academy to welcome athletes from different countries, host international training camps, and provide high-level training opportunities for wrestlers in Kyrgyzstan.

Receiving international status marks an important milestone in the Academy’s development and strengthens Kyrgyzstan’s position as one of the regional centers for wrestling development.

The Academy expresses its gratitude to UWW President Nenad Lalović and UWW Asia President Mohammad Al-Awamleh for their support and contribution to the development of wrestling in Asia.

This is a new chapter for the Academy — and new opportunities for athletes who will train in Bishkek.
